FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Answers about how our mowing service works.

Service & scheduling

Do I need to be home?

Usually not. As long as we can reach the areas being serviced, you don’t need to be there. If your back yard is gated, we just need a reliable way in.

How often do you mow?

Every week or every two weeks, and we also offer a one time mow. Every two weeks suits most Katy lawns for much of the year. Weekly is usually better during peak growing season.

Can I choose my mowing day?

Yes. You choose a preferred weekday when you sign up, and we work to keep your property on that day. It is a preferred day rather than a fixed appointment, because weather and route conditions can move a visit.

What happens when it rains?

We don’t just skip your visit. We reschedule it, let you know, and your property goes back to its normal day afterward. More detail is on the weather policy page.

Is the back yard included?

Yes, where it’s part of the serviced area and we can access it. We confirm access before your first visit.

What if my gate is locked?

We can only service what we can reach, so a locked gate with no access means the back area can’t be mowed that visit. Leaving a code on file or unlocking the gate on your service day avoids this. Let us know which you prefer.

What should I do about pets?

Please keep pets indoors or secured away from the serviced area on your service day, both for their safety and so the crew can work properly. Tell us about pets in your property notes and we’ll keep it on your record.

What about clippings?

Clippings are cleared from ordinary hard surfaces such as the driveway and walkways before we leave. If you have a preference for how clippings are handled on the lawn, mention it in your quote request and we’ll tell you what’s possible.

What if the lawn is very overgrown?

A lawn that is well past normal height takes more work than a routine visit, so we quote a separate reset cut before recurring service begins. We’ll point it out when we review your request, so it isn’t a surprise.

Getting started

How do I start service?

Enter your address, choose how often you’d like the lawn cut and your preferred weekday, and leave your contact details. Photos are optional, but they help us quote accurately. We’ll confirm whether your address is in our service area and follow up about your quote.

Why do photos help?

Photos show us the actual lawn, which a map can’t. A few phone pictures of the front, the back, any side areas and the gate or access route are plenty. They’re optional, and you can request a quote without them.

Am I committing to anything by requesting a quote?

No. Service only begins once you’ve approved a price.

Do you serve my area?

We serve Katy and nearby parts of West Houston. Enter your address when you request a quote and we’ll confirm either way.

How will you contact me?

We use the mobile number and email you give us in your quote request.

Scope & pricing

What is included in a routine visit?

Mowing, edging, string trimming around obstacles, and clearing clippings from ordinary hard surfaces. That is the full routine scope, and it is the same every visit. The lawn mowing page explains each part.

What work is outside routine mowing?

Anything outside routine mowing is quoted separately and agreed with you before we do it. That includes a first-time or badly overgrown reset cut, storm debris, large limbs and unusual amounts of leaves. Ordinary seasonal leaf fall is part of normal cleanup and costs nothing extra. The service policy has the details.

How is my quote worked out?

We price each property individually rather than from a rate card. We look at the size of the lawn, the frequency you choose, how easy the mowing areas are to reach, the lawn’s current condition, unusual obstacles and any overgrowth. We don’t publish a price list, and the pricing page explains why.

Are property photos required?

No, photos are optional. They help us prepare a more accurate estimate, because they show the actual lawn rather than what a map suggests. Ordinary phone pictures are fine. You can request a quote without them, and if we need photos later, we’ll ask. See which property photos help.

Can I change my service frequency later?

The frequency you choose at setup is your starting schedule. If your needs change, let us know and we’ll confirm what’s available on your route.

Does my price change between visits?

Your recurring rate is based on the property and the routine scope we quoted. Work outside that scope is never added without your agreement. If the property or the work you want changes significantly, we discuss any price change with you first. The terms explain the basis of service.

Where do I find the full service rules?

The service policy covers access, gates, pets, obstacles, debris and what happens when a visit cannot be completed. The weather policy covers scheduling and weather. The terms cover the basis of service itself.
