About

Built to make routine mowing predictable

Blade Meets Grass exists because arranging lawn care is usually more annoying than the mowing itself.

Why we exist

Set it up once

The usual routine is tiresome. Find someone, chase a quote, arrange a visit, wonder whether they’re coming, then do the whole thing again a few weeks later when the grass has gotten away from you.

Blade Meets Grass works the other way around. You set your property up once, and mowing continues on a recurring schedule without rebooking each visit.

Your grass gets cut without you having to think about it.

How we work

What we focus on

Local

Katy and surrounding West Houston. We’d rather serve a tight area properly than spread thin across the metro.

Focused

One service, done consistently, instead of a long menu of things we’d subcontract.

Consistent

A steady recurring rhythm keeps a lawn in better shape than occasional catch-up cuts.

Communicative

If weather moves your visit, we let you know.

Easy to deal with

You can request a quote from your phone, and your property details stay on file afterward.

Where we are

A new local business, starting small on purpose

Blade Meets Grass is a new local mowing business. We’re keeping the service area small while we build recurring routes, rather than claiming the whole Houston metro from day one.

It’s a practical choice. A recurring schedule only works if the route works, and a crew spread across the metro spends the day driving. Staying close to home is what lets us keep you on a preferred weekday. See service areas for where we currently go.

One service

Recurring residential mowing, and what that covers

Our focus is recurring residential lawn mowing. Every routine visit includes the same four things: mowing the accessible lawn areas included in your service, edging along driveways, sidewalks and curbs, string trimming around obstacles and the spots a mower can’t reach, and blowing clippings off hard surfaces before we leave.

We don’t currently offer landscape design, tree work, irrigation, fertilization or hardscaping. Work outside routine mowing, such as a reset cut on an overgrown lawn or storm debris, is quoted separately and agreed with you before we do it. The lawn mowing page explains each part of a visit.

Keeping in touch

How we keep you informed

If weather or wet ground moves your visit, we let you know that day. If we couldn’t finish a visit because part of the property couldn’t be reached, we tell you rather than leaving you to find out later.

The service policy covers access, gates, pets, obstacles and debris, and the weather policy covers scheduling and rain.

Straight answers

What we do not promise

We don’t promise an exact appointment time. Your chosen weekday is a preferred service day, because weather, wet ground, holidays and route conditions can move visits.

We don’t publish a price list. A single published rate can’t fit every property, so your quote is based on the property, access, current condition and the frequency you choose. You see the price before service begins. See pricing.

We confirm availability by address, not by neighborhood. A street a little farther out can be easy to fit in while a closer one is not, so a list of neighborhoods would only be a guess. If we can’t serve an address well yet, we’ll say so rather than put it on a schedule we can’t keep.
