Recurring residential mowing in Katy & West Houston
We focus on one thing: keeping residential lawns cut on a regular schedule.
What’s included
The full scope of a routine visit, the same every time.
Mowing
Routine mowing of the accessible lawn areas included in your recurring service, cut at a height suited to your grass type and the season.
Edging
Defined lawn edges along ordinary driveways, sidewalks, curbs and similar hard surfaces.
String trimming
Trimming around normal obstacles (fences, posts, trees and beds) and anywhere a mower cannot reach cleanly.
Cleanup
Grass clippings blown from ordinary hard surfaces after the routine cut.
You stop booking it
Most people don’t mind the mowing. They mind arranging it. Chasing a quote, settling on a day, wondering whether anyone is coming, then repeating it a few weeks later.
With a standing schedule, your frequency, preferred weekday and access details stay on file, and visits continue without rebooking.
On file for every visit
- Your frequency: weekly or every two weeks
- Your preferred service weekday
- Gate and access instructions
- Pets and areas needing care
Weekly or every two weeks
Every 2 weeks
A good fit for most Katy lawns through much of the year. Steady upkeep without cutting more than the grass needs.
Every week
Better through peak growing season, for fast-growing turf, or when you simply want the lawn kept consistently sharp.
We offer mowing. That’s it.
Instead of a long list of outdoor services, we focus on cutting your grass properly and consistently.
Blade Meets Grass does not currently provide landscape design, tree work, irrigation, fertilization or hardscaping.

What “accessible lawn areas” means on the day
A routine visit covers the lawn areas included in your recurring service and reachable when the crew arrives. A back yard behind a locked gate with no way in cannot be cut on that visit, and a strip a mower cannot physically get to is trimmed rather than mown.
Before the first visit we confirm how each serviced area is reached, including gates, codes and side-yard routes, and that stays on your property record so it does not have to be arranged again. If access is a problem on the day, we’ll let you know. The service policy sets all of this out in full.
Cutting height depends on the lawn
We set the cutting height to suit your grass, its condition and the season, so the same lawn may be cut at different heights through the year.
If you have a preference, mention it when you set up service and we’ll confirm whether it works for your lawn.
You do not need to be home
We just need to be able to reach the areas being serviced, which is why we confirm access details before the first visit.
Please keep pets indoors or secured away from the serviced area on your service day, both for their safety and so the crew can work properly, and tell us about them in your property notes. If an animal is loose in the work area the crew will not force the issue.
Clearing toys, hoses, furniture and similar items off the lawn beforehand is worth doing where it is practical. They slow a visit down and they can be damaged or damage equipment.
What is not part of a routine visit
Ordinary seasonal leaf fall is part of normal cleanup and is not extra. A first-time or badly overgrown reset cut, storm debris, large limbs and unusual leaf volume are priced on their own and always agreed before the work is done.
An overgrown lawn gets its own reset cut quote before recurring service begins, instead of being folded into the first visit.
We also don’t subcontract landscape design, tree work, irrigation, fertilization or hardscaping. If you need one of those, we’ll say so rather than pass you along.
When weather moves a visit
Your chosen weekday is a preferred recurring service day rather than a guaranteed appointment time. Weather, route conditions, holidays and the occasional unusual circumstance can shift a visit, and when that happens, we let you know.
A rained-out visit is rescheduled rather than dropped, and once it is completed your property returns to its normal recurring day. Sometimes the ground is too saturated to mow without tearing the turf or leaving ruts, and waiting is the right call for the lawn. The weather policy page has the details.
Choosing your starting frequency
Weekly and every-other-week service fit different properties, growth rates and times of year, and a one-time mow is available where a recurring schedule is not what you want yet.
The frequency you choose at setup is a starting schedule, not a commitment. If your needs change, let us know and we’ll confirm what’s available on your route. The pricing page covers how frequency affects the quote, and you can see the options on start service.
Katy first, and West Houston within reach
Recurring mowing is offered across Katy and the surrounding West Houston communities our routes reach. Katy is the home area and has its own page: recurring lawn mowing in Katy, TX.
We confirm availability by address, not by neighborhood, because a street a little farther out can be easier to fit in than a closer one. Enter yours and we’ll give you a clear answer either way.
