Recurring lawn mowing in Katy, TX
Katy is our home service area and the base for our recurring routes.
Built around Katy lawns
Katy properties tend to share a few traits: warm-season turf, fenced back yards, and a growing season that runs hard from spring well into fall.
In practice, that means being realistic about how often a lawn here needs cutting, and confirming gate access before the first visit instead of on the day.
- Weekly or every-two-week recurring mowing
- Mow, edge, trim and cleanup every routine visit
- A preferred weekday you choose at signup

Growth changes a lot across a Katy year
Many Katy lawns use warm-season grasses, and how fast they grow changes substantially between the peak of the season and the quieter months. A cutting rhythm that is right in October is not necessarily right in June.
Weekly and every-other-week service suit different growth rates and times of year. The frequency you choose at setup is a starting point, not a commitment. If your lawn is outgrowing the schedule you chose, we’ll tell you.
Gates, pets and other things that can stop a visit
Many Katy homes are fenced, so a locked back gate is a common reason a visit can’t be completed. Before the first visit we confirm how each serviced area is reached, including gates, codes and side-yard routes, and that stays on your property record.
Please keep pets indoors or secured away from the serviced area on your service day, and tell us about them in your property notes. If an animal is loose in the work area the crew will not force the issue.
Clearing toys, hoses, furniture and similar items off the lawn beforehand helps too. The service policy sets all of this out in full.
What a routine Katy visit includes
Mowing, edging, string trimming around obstacles, and clearing clippings from ordinary hard surfaces. That is the full routine visit, and it is what your recurring price covers. The pricing page explains how we set that price.
Anything outside routine mowing is quoted before we do it. That includes a reset cut for a lawn well past normal height, which comes before recurring service begins, and storm debris, large limbs or unusual amounts of leaves. Ordinary seasonal leaf fall is part of normal cleanup.
When weather moves a Katy visit
Your chosen weekday is a preferred recurring service day rather than a fixed appointment. Weather, route conditions and holidays can shift a visit, and when that happens, we let you know.
A rained-out visit is rescheduled rather than dropped, and once it is completed your property returns to its normal recurring day. Sometimes the ground is too wet to mow without tearing the turf, and waiting is better for the lawn. The weather policy has the detail.
Katy questions
Do you mow back yards in Katy?
Yes, where they’re part of the serviced area and we can access them. Many Katy homes are fenced, so gate access is the main thing we confirm before the first visit.
Weekly or every two weeks for a Katy lawn?
Every two weeks works well for much of the year. Through peak growing season many lawns here do better weekly. If yours is outgrowing a two-week schedule, we’ll tell you.
How do I find out if you cover my street?
Enter your address in the quote form. We confirm availability by address, not by neighborhood, so you’ll get a clear answer.
Do I need to be home?
Usually not. We just need to be able to reach the serviced areas on your service day, so we confirm gate and access details before the first visit. If a gate is locked and there’s no way in, we can’t mow the back that visit, and we’ll let you know.
What if my lawn is badly overgrown right now?
Mention it when you request a quote. A lawn that is well past normal height takes more work than a routine mow, so we quote a separate reset cut before recurring service begins.
Can I change my service frequency later?
The frequency you choose at setup is your starting schedule. If your needs change, let us know and we’ll confirm what’s available on your route.
What does a routine visit actually include?
Mowing, edging, string trimming around obstacles, and clearing clippings from ordinary hard surfaces. Anything outside that is quoted separately before it is done.
